The Elburn Chamber of Commerce will host the 17th annual Elburn Christmas Stroll on Friday, December 3rd, 2010 throughout Elburn from 5 to 8 p.m. The Christmas Stroll will begin at 5 p.m. with the arrival of Santa Claus to light the Village Christmas tree in front of the Elburn American Legion at 112 North Main Street.

This year's activities will include the opportunity to: visit and have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Town & Country Public Library, and play life-sized Kandyland at the Elburn Herald. Enjoy activities at the Elburn & Countryside Community Center including: martial arts demonstrations, painting demonstrations, silent auction, Santa train ride and much more. An open house at the Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection District firehouse will be sure to catch attention with their safety house and tree-burning demonstration.

Don’t forget to stop by Great Lakes Leadership Campus to take a tour of the mansion with all of its vintage charm. Nativity Displays from around the world, available for viewing at St. Gall’s Catholic Church. Also at St. Gall’s a raffle for St. Vincent de Paul to benefit the poor of Elburn and Sugar Grove. A choral concert will take place throughout the night at different Elburn locations. Many of the downtown stores will be open late on Friday, December 3rd to share refreshments and information about their business.

Free Continuous heated shuttle service will be available to the events throughout Elburn stopping at the Town and Country Public Library, the Elburn and Countryside Community Center and the downtown area, including Jewel. Make the Elburn Christmas Stroll a family tradition.
