
The Elburn Chamber of Commerce will host the 17th annual Elburn Christmas Stroll on Friday, December 2rd, 2011 throughout Elburn from 5 to 8 p.m. The Christmas Stroll will begin at 5 p.m. with the arrival of Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus in the Village of Elburn.
This year's activities will include the opportunity to: visit and have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Town & Country Public Library, and play life-sized Kandyland at the Elburn Herald. Enjoy activities at the Elburn & Countryside Community Center including: martial arts demonstrations, cookie decorating, silent auction, Santa train ride and much more .New this year, is our Holiday Bazaar at the Community Center from 11:00-8:00. Start your Christmas shopping early! Many other Chamber businesses will also have displays at the Community Center. Visit businesses and drop off your initialed map at the Elburn Community Center or the Town & Country Library for a chance to win gift cards provided by our local businesses.
An open house at the Elburn and Countryside Fire Protection District firehouse will be sure to catch attention with their safety house and tree-burning demonstration.
Don’t forget to stop by Great Lakes Leadership Campus to take a tour of the mansion with all of its vintage charm. American Bank & Trust offers balloon creations for the young at heart. Stop by Elburn Hill Church to see its display of Christmas trees. Be sure to visit Amazing Grace Antiques and of course a visit to Reams Market for a fascinating culinary delight. Many of the downtown stores will be open late on Friday, December 2nd to share refreshments and information about their business.
Free Continuous heated shuttle service will be available to the events throughout Elburn stopping at the Town and Country Public Library, the Elburn and Countryside Community Center and the downtown area, including Jewel. Make the Elburn Christmas Stroll a family tradition.
